Power Strips Recalled: Fire, Shock Hazard

About 6,000 Lush Life designer power strips sold at Burlington Coat Factory and other outlets have been recalled because they can cause shocks and fires.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling 6,000 decorator power strips that pose a fire and shock hazard.

The Lush Life power strips, which sport leopard, rose, skull, and zebra prints, have undersized wiring and fail to meet fire safety standards. No injuries or accidents have been reported so far.

The power strips, made in China, were sold at Burlington Coat Factory, The Container Store, and other nationwide retail outlets from July 2011 through March 2012 for about $10.

If you own a Lush Life power strip, stop using it immediately and return it to your retailer for a full refund or store credit.
