Congratulations to Habitat For Humanity, which is celebrating today’s United Nation’s World Habitat Day  by dedicating its 500,000th house, this one in Kenya, and beginning construction on its 500,001st house, that one in flood-ravaged Paterson, N.J.

For the next six weeks, Habitat for Humanity will spotlight the world need for safe, decent, and affordable shelter. The group also will launch its 28th annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, where volunteers will build 100 earthquake-resistant homes in Léogâne, Haiti, the epicenter of the devastating 2010 earthquake.

HouseLogic salutes Habitat for Humanity for supporting home ownership!

Have you ever worked on a Habitat house? What was your experience like?
