Sherwin-Williams and the Consumer Product Safety Commission are recalling about 120,000 cans of spray paint because their canisters can leak and, if near an ignition source, catch on fire.
Recalls include batches of four brands of spray paint:
- 98,400 cans of Krylon Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze and Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Crystal Clear Acrylic Paint.
- 17,850 cans of Tree House Studio Clear Acrylic Matte Coating
- 2,700 cans of Dupli-Color Perfect Match Automotive Paint
All recalled paint was sold nationwide between July 2011 and June 2012 for around $7.
If you own the recalled paint, stop using it, and contact Sherwin Williams to make sure your paint is part of batches recalled, directions on how to dispose of the cans, and for a refund.
