If you purchased a Discovery Kids Animated Marine or Safari Lamp between June 2010 and March 2012, check to see if it’s a threat.

Innovage, the company who produces Discovery Kids Animated Marine and Safari Lamps, is voluntarily recalling a select number of the lamps after receiving 11 reports of short-circuiting.

No injuries have been reported. However, there are three accounts of the lamps catching fire and causing property damage.

The recall is limited to lamps that have an 11-digit batch number starting with either 584894 or 10128, and includes one of the following model numbers: 628626, 1642433, 1641522, 1641523, 1645729, or 1645853.

Batch numbers are imprinted in plastic underneath the lamps. Model numbers can be found on stickers placed underneath the lamps.

Consumers who own the recalled lamps should immediately stop using them and call Innovage toll-free at (888) 232-1535 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
