More than 100,000 Flexible Flyer swing sets are being recalled because their seesaws can detach and hurt young children.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada is recalling 100,500 Flexible Flyer Swing Sets in the U.S. and Canada because their seesaws can break off and can cause injury.

Eleven models of the Flexible Flyer swing sets contain seesaw attachments. So far the Troxel Company of Tennessee, the sets’ manufacturer, has received 1,232 reports of seesaw seats breaking away from their bolt fasteners: 13 injuries to young children, including bumps, bruises, and lacerations, have been reported.

The recalled swing sets were sold by Walmart, Toys R Us, and other online and specialty stores from December 2011 through May 2012 for between $130 and $280.

If you own a recalled set, stop using it immediately and contact Troxel for a free repair kit.
