Checklist - Keep your holidays merry and bright:
Make sure outdoor lights are UL rated for exterior use.
Test outdoor GFCI receptacles. They should not trip repeatedly.
Test smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector batteries.
Check light strings for damaged cords or broken sockets.
