Checklist - To see if your foundation is in trouble, check for warning signs:
Walk across your floor to see if it feels flat and level.
Sight down your foundation wall to check for straightness.
Poke concrete walls with a screwdriver to look for soft spots.
Look for cracks, especially those wider than ΒΌ inch.
In crawl spaces, look for posts that lean or are loose from their footings.
