The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled almost 100,000 Bel Air Lighting outdoor wall mount lanterns because they can short out and pose a fire, burn, or electric shock hazard to consumers.

Bel Air Lighting has received seven reports of incidents, including two reports of fires; no injuries have been reported.

The lanterns were sold at Lowe’s stores and online under the Portico brand name and in lighting showrooms nationwide from June 2006 through May 2012 for about $48.

If you own a recalled lantern, contact Bel Air Lighting for a free replacement.
