Americans value their lawns. But $75,000 worth?

For most of you, a luscious lawn is priceless. For Aussies, cool grass under their feet is worth $75,000.

A recent survey of Australian real estate agents shows that buyers Down Under want backyards with real grass. That green carpet could add 18% to the price of a $420,000 property.

Why are lawns so important in Australia? Same reasons as here. Lawns make a house feel like a home and they provide a safe place for kids to play.
