Dick Clark’s Memory Will Live On in His Malibu Estate

Dick Clark’s Malibu estate recently came on the market. It’s as memorable and entertaining as he was.

We were saddened to hear about Dick Clark’s passing — he seemed immortal. But the memory of the consummate showman will live on for some lucky buyer who scoops up his Malibu, Calif., home, which came on the market recently for $3.5 million.

It’s a quirky stone house on 22 acres and seems to be inspired by “The Flintstones” cartoon. The listing calls it an “imaginative architectural creation,” but we can imagine Fred and Wilma eating a brontosaurus steak in this cave-like house with Pacific Ocean views.

We’re not surprised that a show business legend like Clark would own such an amusing and unique home. (Check out our other features on unique movie and TV houses).

I interviewed him years ago in his fabulous Manhattan apartment, and he was friendlier and more approachable than I thought a television mogul would be.

We hope the next owners appreciate the Malibu estate and the man as much as we do.
