Take the #@!&* Out of Install with This New Bathroom Fan

Check out this new — but pricey — bathroom fan that eliminates crawling around your attic. But does “easy” trump “inexpensive?” You decide.

We’re all about helping you make the most of your home, though we don’t usually pitch individual products.

Well, we’re breaking that rule today by directing your attention to Broan-NuTone’s new Ultra Series ventilation fans, which you can install from the comfort of your bathroom, rather than crawling around your dusty attic to release the old unit during your renovation.

This image shows the process of snapping the fan in place:

The Nu fan was unveiled at the recent International Builders Show in Orlando and was highlighted in a Consumer Reports news blog. The fan, which features a telescoping mounting frame with pre-installed screws, makes installation 60% faster than traditional bathroom fans. On the downside, it costs $200, more than three times the cost of standard fans.

So what do you say? “Easy” or “inexpensive?”
